Eastside Marios in Livonia

I hadn't been here in a long time, as it was never a favorite, but the food has changed here, and for the better! My husband ordered lasagna, which was actually enough for two, but he ate the whole thing! I had one bite of his lasagna, and it was really delicious. I ordered the Shrimp Florentine, which was scrumptious. We also had a salad, which was very crisp and fresh, and the Italian Wedding Soup. The soup was tasty, but better with just a little salt and pepper added. We also had a fresh bread loaf, which was great on it's own, but especially nice for sopping up the last of the soup and sauces. The restaurant was very busy, but our waitress was attentive and really on top of things. We got our food quickly and it was hot. We will definitely go back to East Side Mario's!

Just OK. Not fine dinning, but was expecting something more palatable. Garlic Shrimp appetizer was good. Salad had a lot of aged, (brown edged,) lettuce. The Italian wedding soup tasted a couple days old and left on the counter to warm up.. The veal parmesan was not good, either. Decor was great and servers were friendly. My first and sadly last visit. Wishing someone else a better visit.

Not sure how I've never been here before, it's our new favorite - great food, great service, great prices. LOVE IT.

Great food and service!!

Fantastic family place to go for some good Italian dishes and some cold beverages. Housed with a full bar for patrons to sit in alongside of a great and well decorated restaurant. Good food. Good prices. Good services. Sure it’s nothing extraordinary , but great for a night out with loved ones or even romantic enough for a first date. You will want to visit New York for yourself after you check out this place.

Best service and amazing Italian food

Salmon florentine was excellent. Wait staff was very cordial and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant with a peaceful atmosphere.

Went there a few different times decent deal on food as they have unlimited soup and salad. The lasagna was great but I tried the salmon last time and it was a little bland. Service was pretty on point so in all it was a good experience!

Eastside Mario's is fairly standard Italian food. Started off with some cold cocktails. Bread was decent start. House salad looked straight forward. My ceaser could have used another once or two of dressing. For dinner lasagna. Some good layers draped in some yummy meat sauce. Chicken with white suace (it had a fancier name) it was good as well. Although the chicken could have used some flavoring during cooking. It was a nice night out with a interesting atmosphere

Ordered carry out today....it was delicious!!! Can't beat the Quatro to Go -Chicken Parmesan. 4 HUGE pieces of chicken plus salad and spaghetti. Best deal going.

All of our meals with chicken, like the Primavera Chicken an Chicken Parm, had chicken that tasted pre-processed like pre-cooked frozen chicken that was warmed in a microwave.This was slightly disappointing because all other dishes we delicious.

The server Oliva was outstanding, remember our orders, names with great followup. Smiles, jokes with focus on our food and drinks needs. Address our needs for carry out boxes and left over bread......

Just cannot say enough good things about this place. We love the appetizer specials in the bar before seven. Great atmosphere.

I have never had bad food or service here. I love their half off appetizers during happy hour. Amazing house salad, bread, pastas, and my favorite the garlic butter shrimp appetizer.

The service was very good, the food was ok. Nothing to write home about. The sun was shining through the windows and when I looked up to look at the decor all I saw was dust and cobwebs. I proceeded to walk into the bathroom and looked up and saw mold all over the ceiling tiles. How does this go unnoticed? Mold like this doesn’t grow over night. If this is what the front of the house looks like, what does the kitchen look like? There is another Italian restaurant next door we typically frequent but they are closed for remodel so we decided to go to Eastside Mario’s. Needless to say, never again.

The bread pudding is always moist and tasty. The unbreaded calamari is delicious.

Happy hour between 2 and 7 in the bar area cant be beat. Half off apps and beer deals. Best apps around! Calamari diavlo is awesome!!!! Love this place! Been coming here for 15 yrs

We had not been here in years but were very happy with our experience. The service was great as was my gluten free penne. My husband also really enjoyed his pizza. We will definitely be back.

Our favorite place to go when my wife and I want Italian food. We've been going here for the last few years and every time we've had a good experience. Great food with a nice selection of beer.

Had a large dinner party and it went really well. Not everyone loved their food but most liked their meals. The kids love making their own pizzas at the table which are Then cooked in a brick oven, tasted great. Biggest issue is there is no changing station in the men's restroom, it's 2019 come on.

The atmosphere was very nice, I was with a large party so the order took a little bit longer then usual. But overall my experience was pleasant.

The best ... service and food too.. except bathroom needs attention. But rest is really good.

East Side Mario's is my absolute favorite restaurant! I love Italian food, especially pasta, and they never disappoint! I always get the chicken piccata, which is absolutely delicious, and the Italian wedding soup. I would highly recommend this restuarant.

I love Eastside Mario's.They have ONE of the best happy hours anywhere in Southeast Michigan for both food and drinks. Also they are rare because they have happy hour Seven days a week! Can't beat it.

The food was ok but nothing special. My mother and I had Bloody Marys. Mine was fine but mom's had a ton of black pepper. Our waitress was friendly and polite.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The dining experience is perfect. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and prompt. The food is delicious and the portions are great for the price you pay. The unlimited soup, salad, and garlic bread is better than Olive Garden by a LONG SHOT. If you are worried about having to wait along time to be seated, they accept reservations. Their menu is legible, and adequate descriptions of each item are included. There is no blinding light coming in the windows at eye level, the interior lighting is not too bright, and the music is not too loud. (These seem odd to comment on, but I get migraines frequently, so it's important to me.) The restaurant is clean, including the well-stocked restroom. All in all, my idea of a good restaurant. I will definitely be back.

Pretty decent place to visit. Food is ok with plenty of options to choose from, staff is friendly, kids like the option of making their own 🍕, drinks are very good. Too bad they are closing soon and turning into a brewery

Nice spot in the livonia to get an Italian dinner. Had the vegetarian pizza and antipasto salad, we were seated fast and served quickly.

Food was very good but the restaurant is filthy. The bathroom has mold on the ceiling tiles and water spots to were there had to be a leak. Thre walls in the booths by the front are really very dirty if the health department came in I'm sure they wouldn't pass health codes which is to bad because the food is good. If the restaurant was clean I'd give 5 stars

Great place to eat and drink

I hadn't been the East side Marios for a while because I have a large family and it's not always cost-effective to go there now that they can't eat off the kids menu. my youngest daughter had a half day so I decided to take her there as she has never been. It's good to see that the place hasn't gone downhill over the years it was still spotlessly clean and the food was consistently good. I had the seafood linguine which I am glad I didn't pay the full price dinner price for. There was nothing wrong with it, the seafood was cooked perfectly, but the sauce lacked depth. Again nothing wrong with it but I doubt I would order it again. The pizza was as always, very good.

Go-to place for any occasion, had wonderful service each time. Last week our server was a doppelganger for Penn Badgely, Joe from "You".

I am giving this 5 stars based on being seated in the bar side of this restaurant from 2-7pm when 1/2 off appetizers are in effect. The appetizers are a step or three up from typical bar appetizers. Garlic shrimp and Bruchetta are a couple of examples. Half off on these items feels like an absolute steal. Cool and cozy environment. Toss your peanut shells on the floor. This is not a Sports Bar, but it does have a few TVs plus Keno and Buzztime Trivia. The restaurant-side is very good on its own as an Italian restaurant, but you can't beat the 1/2 off appetizers and decent beer prices. This is a monthly stop for us.

As someone who grew up in Jersey surrounded by factories, they certainly got the faux windows right by the bar. The fun NY City atmosphere does kinda remind me of the east coast. The food has always been great, service is always quick and reliable.

I have not been to East Side Mario’s in at least two years. It is definitely not the East side Mario’s I remember. They no longer have the whipped butter for the bread, and the bread is not coated in a butter garlic sauce any more. To add to my dismay both the red sauce and alfredo white sauce seemed like they were no longer made in house. Also my eggplant parmesan seemed to be frozen and not made fresh either. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. Definitely not what I remember. Sad to say but I won’t be returning.

Soup and salad was good had lunch here. Pasta was decent, not the best I've had.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at East Side Mario's. The food was great, and the staff is friendly and helpful, more than capable. It was very worth braving a snow storm for! The atmosphere is one of a kind, and I'm happy to say that I'll be eating here again soon.Editing to add, it was far more budget friendly than expected - not pricey at all!

Food is always prepared well and is consistently the same quality. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that its hit or miss on the quality of server and service you receive.

We loved it and plan to go back soon. The portions are huge - I had 4 meals off the one entree!

The decor was 1900's New York little Italy. Food was basic Italian fare, quite tasty. The portions were generous. Sevice was very good
